Five young Ghanaian footballers are on their way to Europe in search of a breakthrough in their careers after impressing at a local tournament.
The talented teenagers—Edmund Asante, Emmanuel Appiah, Acheampong Hayford, Samuel Coffie, and Owusu Ansah Prince—earned their opportunity after shining at the Great Corinthians Tournament held in May.
Thanks to their standout performances, the players have secured trials with European clubs including Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz and Belgian club Zulte Waregem.
These trials are a big step forward for the boys, who caught the eye of scouts during the tournament. They will now hope to turn this opportunity into professional contracts.
This exciting journey reflects the growing importance of grassroots football in Ghana, as local tournaments continue to uncover fresh talent ready for the global stage.
For these five youngsters, it’s more than just a trial—it’s a chance to follow in the footsteps of many Ghanaian stars who started just like them.
