Ex Arsenal star Mikael Sylvestre has advised the club’s sporting director Edu Gaspar to bring in West Ham skipper Declan Rice whom he believes is a better player than Thomas Partey.
Despite a great season, Partey has been very abysmal in midfield in the last couple of games with the Gunners struggling.
Silvestre who earned 26 caps for Arsenal scoring three goals says Partey needs to shine again and that he prefers the club to sign Rice who is way above th Ghanaian.
“I think Partey has been excellent this season and he has played his best football for Arsenal.” He told bettingexpeerts.com
“So, I expect him to respond and go back to his best after a few bad games. But obviously, every top club needs competition and Declan Rice, with all the respect for Thomas Partey, would be an upgrade, for sure.”
Partey has played 28 games for Arsenal this season in the EPL scoring thrice.
