English lower-tier side Carlton Town FC has announced the extension of former Asante Kotoko captain Felix Annan’s contract.
Annan, the former Black Stars goalkeeper, joined the Nottingham-based club in July 2023 on a short-term deal to compete in the Northern Premier League Division East following his departure from Pass Move Grin FC.
After showcasing impressive performances during his initial stint, the club has opted to prolong his stay for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
“FELIX STAYS. We can confirm Felix Annan is the first to commit to re-signing with the Millers for next season,” the club announced on social media platform X.
Annan’s football journey began with Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord Academy before his tenure with Asante Kotoko. Throughout his career, he garnered valuable experience through loan spells with Real Tamale United in 2014 and later with the West African Football Academy in 2015.
Notably, Annan made his debut for the Black Stars on June 9, 2019, in a friendly match against Namibia, which concluded in a narrow 1-0 defeat.
He was also a member of the Black Stars squad that represented Ghana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in Egypt.
