Former Asante Kotoko SC defender Yussif Mubarik has finalized a transfer to FC Chitwan, as confirmed by the club on Monday.
The central defender has joined the Nepal Super League club on a free transfer following his departure from Kotoko when his contract expired.
Yussif Mubarik, aged 27, ended his association with the Porcupine Warriors on August 1, 2023, after spending three years with the club.
He originally joined Kotoko from regional rivals AshantiGold SC in September 2020 and went on to become a key player for the team.
The former Liberty Professionals player played a crucial role in helping Kotoko secure the Ghana Premier League title during the 2021-22 season, featuring in 21 matches in that campaign.
During the last season in the Ghana Premier League and the CAF Champions League preliminary round, he made 18 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors.
In total, Mubarik accumulated 62 appearances for Kotoko in the Ghanaian top-flight across three seasons, registering one goal.
