Former Asante Kotoko management member Solomon Ofosu Ware, has given his widow’s mite towards the construction of the Asante Kotoko stadium.
Chief Executive of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah, on Monday disclosed on Oyerepa FM that he wants to build a stadium for the clubs and has solicited funds from fans.
Since the appointment of the former bankroller of Phar Rangers in 2020, the club has since had a major uplift, with Asante Kotoko signing a lot of sponsorship deals.
Recent among the exploits and progress of the Ghana Premier League leaders is the acquisition of a 2021 Volvo Marcopolo B8R Bio-Safe Executive Coach 34+1+1-seater bus funded by Access Bank, Ghana.
Despite the recent rise in the brand visibility of Asante Kotoko, the CEO, Amponsah, wants more, and aims to build a new stadium for the club with the help of the funds.
“I will build a stadium for Asante Kotoko within 18 months if I should get 100,000 committed supporters to contribute $100 each.”
“Anyone who pays $100 for the Asante Kotoko stadium project, will have his or her name and date of birth on the block forever,” Amponsah said.
Reacting to the Nana Yaw Amponsah’s stadium project plan, Solomon Ofosu Ware, said he is ready to contribute $400 together with his wife and two other children to support the ‘important project’
“I am ready to contribute the $100 for the Stadium project. In fact, I will pay for myself, my wife and my two children the very day they launch the project’s payment process,” He said on Oyerepa FM.
Commenting further, Ofosu-Ware appealed to the club’s supporters to contribute seriously towards the impending Stadium project.
“I am pleading with all Asante Kotoko supporters to take this project seriously and contribute the $100 wholeheartedly to support our CEO and his management team to make this Stadium project a reality,”
