Saudi Arabian club Al Ain Saudi has officially announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Bonsu on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
The club, which competes in the Saudi First Division League—the second tier of Saudi football—welcomed Bonsu with enthusiasm.
In a statement shared on their official X account, the club expressed excitement about the new addition, stating, “Ghanaian axis. Kwame Bonsu joins Al Ain Saudi. Welcome, welcome.” However, the club did not disclose the duration of Bonsu’s contract.
The 29-year-old midfielder previously played for Al Bataeh in the United Arab Emirates, where he showcased his skills in a competitive league. His move to Al Ain Saudi represents a significant step in his career, marking his ninth club.
Bonsu’s experience includes a cap for the Ghana national team, the Black Stars. His versatility and defensive prowess are expected to strengthen Al Ain Saudi’s midfield as the club aims for a successful season and a return to the top flight of Saudi football.
