South Africa Premier Soccer League side Orlando Pirates FC goalkeeper Richard Ofori has been call-up for Ghana’s Black Stars clash against Central Africa Republic.
The shot stopper comes in to replace injured Joseph Luke Wollacott for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Kumasi.
Ghans will host the minnows at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday at 4pm as both countries seek for a place in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament which will be held in Ivory Coast.
Ofori, before his injuries was Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper and is one of the assistant captains for the team which could gear him up for the upcoming game to aim for a return between the sticks.
The other two goalkeepers are Abdul Manaf Nurudeen and current first choice goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi.
