Boreham Wood, an English fifth-tier club, has made a notable addition to their squad by signing Ghanaian forward Kwesi Appiah.
This signing comes after the mutual termination of his contract with League Two side Crawley Town.
The 32-year-old striker has inked a two-year deal and will now continue his football journey at Meadow Park.
Appiah’s career began at Ebbsfleet United, where he progressed through their academy at Stonebridge Road. His impressive performances attracted the attention of Peterborough United, who secured his services in 2008.
During his time with the Posh, Appiah gained valuable experience through loan spells at Weymouth, Kettering Town, and Thurrock. In 2010, he made a permanent move to Brackley Town.
Appiah’s prolific goal-scoring ability earned him a move to Crystal Palace in 2012, following an impressive tally of 35 goals in just 34 appearances for Margate.
Throughout his career, Appiah continued to demonstrate his talent during loan spells at various clubs in the English Football League (EFL) and National League. Notable stops included Aldershot Town, Yeovil Town, Cambridge United, Notts County, AFC Wimbledon, and Reading.
Appiah featured seven times for the Black Stars and scored two goals with one assist.
