Kwesi Appiah, the former Black Stars striker, has enjoyed a stellar season at English club Boreham Wood, clinching three individual accolades following the team’s promotion to the National League.
The 34-year-old was pivotal throughout the campaign, earning the Players’ Player of the Season award for his outstanding contributions on the pitch. Appiah’s influence was further recognized as he was voted Supporters’ Player of the Year and also claimed the Golden Boot for being the top scorer.
Appiah finished the season with an impressive 24 goals in 35 appearances, including two remarkable hat-tricks, cementing his status as a fan favorite at Boreham Wood.
Expressing his joy on social media, Appiah wrote:
“Promotion! Players’ Player of the Season, Supporters’ Player of the Season, Top Goal Scorer. Honoured. Humbled. Now it’s time to rest, reset, and prepare for the next challenge. The journey continues!”
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations standout, who helped Ghana to a silver medal, now aims to push Boreham Wood toward League One promotion in the upcoming season.
