Moses Odjer, the Ghanaian-Italian defensive midfielder, has signed for Siena from Livorno on a free transfer. The 30-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2028.
Odjer moves to the Serie D – E club after one season with Livorno, who he joined from Ascoli without a transfer fee in September 2025. He made the switch to Siena on 27 August 2026, bringing extensive experience from Italy’s professional divisions to his new side.
The Tema-born midfielder has made 125 appearances in Serie B, scoring once and providing six assists. He has also featured 99 times in Serie C – C and 58 times in Serie C – B, recording three goals and one assist in the latter competition.
Odjer’s playing career in Italy began with Catania’s youth system after he left Ghanaian club Tema Youth in 2014. He progressed into Catania’s senior side before spending the 2015-16 campaign with Salernitana, initially on loan and then in a permanent move for €900,000.
He later played for Trapani, Palermo, Foggia, Pianese, Ascoli and Livorno. His move to Ascoli in February 2025 followed a short spell at Pianese, while his transfer to Pianese had come after two seasons with Foggia.
Odjer has also played in the Premier League, making 13 appearances and scoring once, and has eight Italy Cup appearances to his name. Across his recorded Serie B career, he has accumulated 6,845 minutes, while his Serie C appearances have added further depth to his experience in Italian football.
The midfielder is listed at 1.70m and is capable of using both feet. His arrival gives Siena a player with experience across several levels of the Italian game as the club begin their 2026-27 campaign in Serie D – E.
Odjer’s previous market value was €100,000, but Siena completed the move without paying a transfer fee. He is now contracted to Siena until June 2028.
