Ex Ghana star Emmanuel Duah says people should stop dragging his name as he is not the cause of the death of a couple which happened in Columbus Ohio earlier this week.
A man named Amoako is said to have shot his wife Harriet Aboagye who survived but is in critical condition while he also shot himself dead.
The man in a voice note before the attrocious crime stated that his wife whom he brought to America and have four children with says he is divorcing him to go and marry the former Ghana star and bring him to America and that is why he is ending his life and that if the woman.
In an interview with Bright Kankam Boadu, Duah who netted the winning goal as Ghana beat Spain 1-0 to win the Italian 1991 U17 tournament says he has nothing to do with the lady who is popularly also known as Yaa Gyamfuah.
“People should stop dragging my name in the mud. Yes! I know the lady but we are not in relationship. We dated for one or two years which was 33 years ago.” He stated
“I don’t know why she or the husband should bring my name in their issues. For the past 33 years I’ve met her even only once. I didn’t know where she got my number, she invited me to her mum funeral. I couldn’t even recognize her, she called me. I barely spent 45 minutes there and I left.”
“If I want to go to.America, is not her who will come and take me. My junior brother is there, he secured five years visa for me I didn’t go. I am begging people to stop dragging me into this.” He added
Duah played for the Black Stars at 2002 AFCON and was the captain as Ghana exited in the quarter finals.
