Dr. Osei Sampane, former board member of Hearts of Oak, has expressed concerns over the club’s progress since its CAF Confederation Cup triumph.
He believes the club has not advanced as much as expected following the historic victory.
Dr. Sampane, who joined the Hearts board at just 24 and was part of the 2005 CAF Confederation Cup-winning squad, rated the club’s development under HRM Togbe Afede XIV’s leadership. He gave the playing and technical body 30%, administration 40%, while praising the infrastructure at 90 to 95%.
He emphasized that while the facilities have seen significant improvement, more work is needed in management and team performance to match the club’s rich history and expectations.
Hearts will take on Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC this Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 5pm in the Super Clash.
