Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams opened his scoring account for FC Cincinnati 2 over the weekend in their penalty shootout loss to New England Revolution II in the MLS NEXT Pro Round 1.
The youngster was named in the starting lineup for the encounter and played the entire game against his team on Sunday.
In the 53rd minute, the Ghana international scored for FC Cincinnati, tying the score 3-3 at Gillette Stadium.
Four more goals were recorded in the fixture with each side scoring two.
The game had to go to penalties, where the New England Revolution II won 5-4 in the last round of shooting.
After excelling in the Ghana Premier League with Hearts of Oak, the midfielder joined the American out last year.
Adams joined the Orange and Blue as a result of the connections established between FC Cincinnati, TSG Hoffenheim of the Bundesliga, and Ghana’s national champions Accra Hearts of Oak.
