Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles have pulled off a major coup by signing former Asante Kotoko midfielder Rocky Dwamena ahead of the upcoming season.
The talented midfielder joins the club as a free agent after ending his spell with the Porcupine Warriors.
Dwamena has signed a two-year deal with Young Apostles and is expected to play a crucial role for the club in their debut season in the top flight.
The midfielder is no stranger to the Ghana Premier League, having featured for Kotoko for almost two seasons before being shown the exit door along with 17 other players at the end of last season.
Young Apostles secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League after defeating Techiman Heroes on penalties in the Division One League Zone 1 playoff at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The club’s historic promotion has been marked by significant activity in the transfer market, and Dwamena’s signing is a major coup for the Wenchi-based outfit.
The 17-year-old midfielder will be looking to make an immediate impact for his new club and help them establish themselves in the Ghana Premier League.
