Croatian manager and former gaffer of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Zdravko Lugarusic have opened up on reasons for his exit during his stint at Kumasi Asante Kotoko seven years ago.
Zdravko Lugarusic came under wild attack from the supporters after a string of poor results which culminated in his dismissal by the management of the club. The Porcupine Warriors lost to bitter rivals Accra Hearts of Oak which infuriated the fabulous fans to kick of their fury for the dismissal of the coach. The 2-1 defeat at Medeama eventually stroke the camel’s back as fans stormed Adako Jachie to stop the Croat from a training session.
In an exclusive interview with Pipapipa Media, the former coach debunked the assertion that his philosophy got him sacked at the club.
“I spoke with them individually and no one said coach we don’t understand (philosophy) they fully understand, just we need a bit more time to adapt and could not build Rome in three months” the former Sudan national team coach told Frank Agyam.
Head coach of Kumasi Asante, Prosper Nartey Ogum is currently facing a similar fate as fans marched to the training field to demand answers for the club’s bad performance in recent times. Kumasi Asante Kotoko have only managed one win in 8 matches with 33 points from 26 games.
