Vincent Atinga, the former Medeama defender, is close to joining Bibiani Goldstars in the Ghana Premier League.
Atinga is currently without a club after his contract with Medeama expired. Reports suggest that he will sign for Goldstars as a free agent in the coming days.
Goldstars are looking to strengthen their squad after a poor start to the season. Atinga left Medeama because they were not willing to offer him a long-term contract.
He is expected to bring stability to Goldstars’ defense as they currently face the threat of relegation. Atinga returned to the Ghana Premier League in 2021 after playing for clubs in Kuwait and Albania.
During his time at Medeama, he helped them win their first-ever league title and was the highest-scoring defender in the league that season.
He received the Player of the Season award at the 2022/23 GFA Awards.
