Former Spanish national team head coach Luis Enrique has heaped praises on Morocco following their amazing run to the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.
Morocco defeated Spain on penalties in the round of 16, setting them on the path to making history. Luis Enrique parted ways with the team after the exit.
“Of course, no one will be surprised if Morocco reaches the final. It will be crazy, but it’s worth it. If I had to choose, I hope Argentina wins because of what Messi means to football,” Luis Enrique said.
“Amrabat is at a distinguished level. Morocco has 4 players at an amazing level. Ziyech is good, and player No. 8 (Ezzedine Onahi). I do not remember his name, and we know him clearly.”
Morocco will face France on Wednesday in the second semi final.
