Stephen Appiah Asare, formerly of Tema Youth, has officially joined Legon Cities FC ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
The winger was spotted wearing the club’s jersey during their friendly match against US Avranches, which they emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline. Notably, Asare played a key role in winning a penalty for the Royals during the game.
After a mixed performance in the first round, Legon Cities FC finished in ninth place in the league standings. In a bid to enhance their performance and target a top-four finish, the club has made several signings, including the acquisition of Asare.
Having demonstrated consistent performance for Tema Youth in the second division, Asare’s move to the top flight signifies a significant progression in his career.
However, he will need to swiftly adapt and seize this opportunity to make an impact if he aims to thrive at Legon Cities FC.
