Former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate, Lawrence Agyekum featured in Red Bull Salzburg Youth team’s UEFA Youth League win over Spanish side Atletico Madrid in Spain.
The central-midfielder played 70 minutes of the match and helped his team to secure a vital semi-final win to reach the final of the 2022 edition.
He joined the Austrian giant from WAFA after excelling in the Ghana Premier League with the Sogakope Lads before his move to the club outside.
His team scored five times against the Spanish to win 5-0 on the day to set up a final against Benfica when won on penalties after 2-2 draw.
