Former WAFA youngster Lawrence Agyekum scores for Liefering in Austria

Former West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) SC graduate Lawrence Agyekum scored his first goal for FC Liefering on Sunday in the Austrian 2. Liga in their win over SV Horn.

 

The youngster scored the last goal in the final round of the Austrian second-tier league for the 2021-22 campaign as they won 4-1 at the Red Bull Arena.

Liefering scored first in the match in the 16th minute through Croatian teenager Roko Simic.

 

Lukas Ibertsberger doubled the advantage for the home side in the 29th minute before Simic got his second goal of the game five minutes later.

 

Agyekum increased the advantage for Liefering with his very first goal for the club as he scored eight minutes after the break.

 

Another Ghanaian,Amankwah Forson was brought on to replace Agyekum in the 56th minute.

He also played 4 matches in the UEFA Youth League, making two assists.
