Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah will be hoping to carry his recent scoring form into European competition when Hapoel Beer Sheva travel to the Netherlands to take on AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League tonight.

The 22-year-old heads into the encounter with renewed confidence after scoring his debut goal for the Israeli side over the weekend, giving him an important boost ahead of the club’s European assignment.

Amankwah’s latest contribution comes at a crucial point as he continues to establish himself at Hapoel Beer Sheva. Having opened his account for the club, the Ghanaian midfielder will be eager to build on that achievement and demonstrate his attacking qualities against a challenging opponent.

His goal over the weekend could provide the confidence needed to approach the match with greater belief, particularly as he looks to make a meaningful contribution in the final third. For a midfielder, the ability to combine defensive responsibility with attacking influence can be an important asset, and Amankwah will be looking to show that balance against the Dutch outfit.

The trip to the Netherlands, however, presents a demanding test for Hapoel Beer Sheva. AZ Alkmaar will be keen to make the most of their home advantage, meaning the visitors must remain organised, compete effectively in midfield and take their chances whenever opportunities arise.

Amankwah could play an important role in that contest, particularly if Hapoel Beer Sheva need composure and energy in the middle of the park. His ability to support attacking moves, link play and contribute defensively could prove valuable as the Israeli side attempt to challenge their hosts.

The Ghanaian will also be hoping to use the European stage to continue building his reputation and demonstrate his readiness to compete at a high level. Performances in continental competitions can provide players with valuable exposure, while consistent displays can strengthen their standing within their respective teams.

Having found the net for the first time for Hapoel Beer Sheva over the weekend, Amankwah now has another opportunity to make headlines. Although scoring again would be a significant achievement, his overall contribution to the team’s performance will be equally important.

Hapoel Beer Sheva will need a disciplined collective display to overcome AZ Alkmaar, whose home advantage could make the encounter particularly difficult. The visitors must be prepared to withstand pressure while remaining dangerous whenever they move forward.

For Ghanaian football fans, Amankwah’s involvement offers another opportunity to follow the progress of a compatriot competing in European football. Attention will be on whether the midfielder can translate his recent domestic success into an equally impressive performance on the continental stage.

With confidence boosted by his first goal for the club, Amankwah will be determined to make his presence felt as Hapoel Beer Sheva face AZ Alkmaar in what promises to be an important European test.
