On May 19, 2021, during the Coupe de France final against AS Monaco (2-0 victory), he definitely entered the legend by signing his 104th assist in the red and blue jersey, thus becoming the best passer in club history, ahead of Safet Susic.

“Angel Di Maria has definitely marked the history of the club” reacted Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, President of Paris Saint-Germain.

“He will be remembered by supporters as a player with an irreproachable state of mind, who showed unfailing commitment to defend our colors. I invite the whole Paris Saint-Germain family to meet tomorrow at the Parc des Princes to pay him the tribute he deserves” Al Khelaifi added.
