Steve Mandanda, Marseille goalkeeper, gave a verbal agreement to the Rennes leaders. The two clubs must now agree on the transfer of the French international, under contract with OM until 2024.
Less than a week after the departure of Jorge Sampaoli , OM supporters can expect to see another of their favorites leave the club.
Followed for several weeks by Rennes ( see L’Équipe of June 9 ), Steve Mandanda (37) gave his verbal agreement to the Rennes leaders. OM, where the goalkeeper is still under contract until 2024, and the Breton club are now in negotiations for a transfer which could quickly take place.
Pablo Longoria, the Marseille president, was asked about this during the press conference presenting Igor Tudor , the club’s new coach.
“The last few days we have talked a lot with Steve. He was told that the model would be the same as last year. Two good goalkeepers (Pau Lopez and Mandanda) will compete ,” said the Spaniard.
