Promising Ghanaian striker Francis Antwi Boasiako has taken a big step forward in his career after completing a move to Serbian Super Liga club Javor Ivanjica.
The 20-year-old forward joins the top-tier outfit on a free transfer following an eye-catching season with Radnicki Sremska Mitrovica in Serbia’s second division.
Boasiako, who began his career with Ghanaian lower-tier side Benab FC, made a name for himself by scoring over 50 goals before making the switch to Europe. At Radnicki, he adjusted quickly to Serbian football, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 23 matches—form that caught the attention of Javor’s scouting team.
“Francis Antwi stood out last season,” a club statement read on Javor’s official website. “He showed great promise in his first professional campaign, and we are confident in his development.”
Speaking after sealing the deal, a delighted Boasiako said, “This is a major milestone in my journey. I’m truly thankful and ready to give my all.”
Javor, who recently earned promotion to the Serbian Super Liga, sees the Ghanaian as a key piece in their plans to solidify their status in the top flight. Known for his pace, creativity, and hunger to improve, Boasiako is expected to play an important role in the club’s upcoming campaign.
