Cameroonian striker Franck Mbella Etouga has attempted to leave Kotoko by boycotting training, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.
It has also been reported that the finisher has already informed the management of the club of his intentions to leave after just one season. But the club reportedly want to keep him till 2024.
The 20-year-old was one of the best performers in the 2021/22 betPawa Premier League season, scoring 21 goals, just one behind eventual golden boot winner Yaw Annor.
Mbella has been a subject of transfer speculation. He has been linked with a number of clubs in Africa and Europe after delighting fans in Kumasi with his finishing prowess.
The youngster currently has two years left on his contract but is eager to move.
