Amadou Fontem Tingana, agent of former Asante Kotoko star striker Franck Etouga Mbella, has lashed out at the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah for ‘acting more as an agent’ than being the boss of the Ghanaian top team.
Speaking in an interview, the agent, claimed that the Nana Yaw Amponsah led management, haven’t dealt professionally with Franck Mbella’s former club AS Fortuna.
According to him, Kotoko still owes the club despite transferring the striker to Egyptian side Al-Masry SC.
Mbella who bagged 21 goals for Kotoko last season in the Ghana Premier League, sealed a move to Al-Masry in a deal purported to be around $400,000.
“Let (Kotoko) know that it is not all about money, relationship counts but unfortunately they have destroyed that beautiful relationship with AS Fortuna. Kotoko still owes them $10, 000. Based on this issue, no Cameronian player will join Kotoko unless this current crop of management of Kotoko are out of office,” am unhappy Amadou Tingana told Kumasi -based Akoma FM.
Commenting further, he said: “Players and Club Presidents in Cameroon know that the CEO of Kotoko is acting more as an agent than a club CEO.
“I’m saying this because he repeated what he has done to us to his player who plays in Moldova. He sold the player without consulting or seeking the consent of his agent.
“The management at Kotoko is the poorest I have seen, no agent will accept what they are doing to their clients. I regret doing business with them.
“Initially, I assumed that I was working with professionals but now i realize they are very unprofessional.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko, were last Sunday kicked of the CAF Champions league by RC Kadiago when they suffered 1:3 penalty shout-outs defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium.
