Ghanaian forward Frank Acheampong was on the scoresheet, but his effort was not enough to prevent Dalian Yingbo from suffering a 3-1 comeback defeat to Yunnan Yukun in the Chinese Super League.
The experienced attacker gave Dalian Yingbo the perfect start, opening the scoring in the 13th minute with a well-taken finish to put the visitors ahead.
However, the momentum shifted as Yunnan Yukun mounted an impressive comeback, scoring three unanswered goals to claim all three points.
Dalian’s task became even more difficult after they were reduced to 10 men, allowing the hosts to take control of the contest.
Acheampong, who worked tirelessly in attack, was substituted in the 74th minute as Dalian searched for a way back into the game.
The goal adds to the Ghana international’s tally for the season, but it ultimately proved to be a consolation as Dalian Yingbo were left empty-handed following the 3-1 defeat.
