Former Ghana U-20 star player Frank Acheampong is a perfect candidate for the role of a swift winger for Ghana coach Otto Addo’s system of play.
The Ghanaian forward has pace which makes him a perfect fit for the Black Stars team as the head coach likes to have a speedy winger who can play on both wings.

Acheampong has proven in the past to be a swift and effective player who functions exceptionally well on the wings on the big occasions in his career for Club and country.
Acheampong, who plays as a forward for Chinese Super League club Shenzhen F.C. was an integral part of the team few years ago and was very productive with his accurate crossing ability.
He formerly played for Belgium Jupiler Pro League giants RSC Anderlecht and was a pivot in the team helping the team to to play in both UEFA Champions League and Europa League respectively.
He made over 100 appearances in all competitions for the Mauves and Whites outfit as he scored 16 goals for the Belgium giant during his time at the club.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian was part of the Ghana team during the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea when the Black Stars reached the finals after 2010 defeat to Egypt.
He played a pivotal role as Ghana reached the final of the competition but unfortunately lost to neighboring country, Côte d’Ivoire on penalty shoot-outs following a goals draw game.
Acheampong was part of the penalty takers who missed their spot kick as Ghana suffered defeat but was undoubtedly one of the best young players at the tournament.
He has been one of the most consistent players over the years with scintillating displays over the past few years in the Chinese league.
He won the Belgium Jupiler Pro League with Anderlecht in the year 2017 and has been balling in the Chinese Super League since his move to Asia.
This season, the Ghanaian attacker has six goals nine matches in the Chinese Super League for Shenzhen FC.
He is a perfect profile for the Black Stars coach Otto Addo who always prefers to go for direct, tricky and wingers with pace for his counter attacking football.

With few months to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar in November, the winger could be a great addition to the squad for the mundial when Ghana takes on Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
He has so far scored two goals in 22 games for Ghana’s Black Stars and scored three in seven for the Black Satellites.
