Ghanaian midfielder Frank Appiah found the back of the net for Zlín, but his effort was not enough to prevent a 3-2 defeat against Viktoria Plzeň in the Czech top flight.
The 23-year-old midfielder scored Zlín’s second goal of the match, giving his side hope of completing a comeback in an entertaining league contest.
Appiah’s strike highlighted his attacking contribution and continued development in Czech football, despite Zlín ultimately falling short against a strong Plzeň side.
The match also featured fellow Ghanaian Prince Adu Kwabena, who played a key role for Plzeň by contributing to two of his team’s goals in the victory.
Both Ghanaian players made their mark in an exciting encounter, underlining the growing presence of Ghanaian talents in European leagues.
