Knauff, 20, played every single minute from the round of 16 to the finals scoring a goal and providing an assist as the Eagles won the trophy.
Glasner says he is impressed with the Dortmund owned player and he is happy with his development.
“Since he has been here, he has made a huge step forward and is on a good path,” Glasner stated after Knauff won the Europa League best young player award on Friday.
Knauff was spotted at the age of 12 by Jürgen Klopp who brought him to the Dortmund Academy.
