Ghanaian Center-back Alexander Djiku has expressed his excitement and delights following his ‘dream’ derby goal against AS Monaco over the weekend in France.
The Racing Club Strasbourg Alsace defender scored a spectacular overhead kick as as his team snatched a 1-0 victory at home against Monaco last Sunday.
And the 27-year-old Ghana international says he saw the goal in his dreams.
“Frankly, I saw this goal in my dreams and today it’s reality,” Djiku said.
“It’s very good because it gives victory to the team. anecdote, yesterday (Saturday) in training, with assistant coach Mathieu Le Scornet, he gave me two or three small balls to relive the situation in Reims where I took the ball back from the knee. There I put two-three volleys and when I scored the goal, I told him that it was thanks to him.”
