His call-up came about due to injuries sustained by two top centre-backs in the Black Stars’ camp: Alexander Djiku and Mohammed Salisu.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed in a statement that the last-minute addition of Opoku was to provide Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton with more options.
The game is set to take place at the 11-November stadium in Luanda at 4 pm on Monday.
