The French Football Federation will redistribute part of the ticketing revenue collected during the two upcoming friendly matches of the Blues to UNICEF to help child victims of the war in Ukraine, the FFF announced on Wednesday.
The Federation has planned to donate one euro “for each ticket sold” during the friendly matches against Côte d’Ivoire, Friday in Marseille, and against South Africa, next Tuesday in Lille, “in favor of the victims of the conflict in Ukraine,” she said.
The Vélodrome stadium, which has more than 65,000 seats, should be full on Friday. The Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille is already full with 50,000 spectators expected.
The jerseys worn by the Blues against South Africa will also be auctioned and “the proceeds will also be donated to UNICEF as part of its humanitarian action in Ukraine”, according to the FFF.
