Polish striker Robert Lewandowski landed in Miami to wear the colors of FC Barcelona for the first time. One of the first things he did upon arriving on American soil was to record a video for the club’s official channels in which he sent his first message to Barça fans. “Culés, I am very happy to enjoy with Barça. Força Barça”.

He did it from one of the Miami beach watchmen’s posts and immediately went to the concentration hotel where his new teammates and the Barça leaders were waiting for him, who welcomed him with open arms.

Lewandowski told the club’s media that “I’m finally here, I’m very happy to join the team and be here. The last few days have been very long but the deal is closed and now I can focus on a new chapter in my life.” , a new challenge but I’m still a guy who wants to win games and titles, and I hope that from the beginning of the season we start winning and fighting for titles”.

The striker pointed out that “I always wanted to play in LaLiga, in a big club and it is my next step.

For my private life it is a new challenge and a new life. Barça is coming back and I am here to help to be at the top and to win the highest titles”.

He confessed that “I spoke with Xavi and I knew from the beginning that my signing was in his idea and that is why it was easy to decide for Barça. I want to play and win and with Xavi it is very possible, he knows exactly how to train Barça because he was a great player and now he is a great coach, he has a great future and I want to be part of it.

Lastly, he said that “we have very good quality players to go to the top. Together we can achieve a lot this season and I’m sure it will be so”.

Lewandowski’s arrival at the hotel was surrounded by great expectation and many culés fans wanted to see his new idol up close.
