Gabon will be prepared to forget about the disappointment they experienced during the final play-off in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers when they were thrashed 4-1 by Nigeria in Morocco.
A trip to Morocco for the 2025 AFCON beckons, with teams releasing their final squad for the tournament. Gabon’s head coach Thierry Mouyouma has announced a 26-man squad led by the evergreen Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Olympique Marseille. Denis Bouanga of Los Angeles and Jim Allevinah of Angers are part of the attack.
In defence, veteran centre-backs Bruno Euele Manga and Appindengoye lead the team.
Mario Lemina and Didier Ibrahim Ndong are in the list. In the goalkeeping department, Mbamba Loyce, Demba Anse and Bekale Junior are part of the Gabonese envoys to Morocco.
Gabon will face Cameroon, Mozambique and the Ivory Coast in Group F of the AFCON 2025.
