Crystal Palace midfielder Conor Gallagher has named Tariq Lamptey as the fastest player he has seen or played against.
The duo played together for Chelsea to the Under 21 level before Lamptey was sold to Brighton whiles Gallagher was offered to Crystal Palace on loan last season.
Gallagher who has arguably being the best central midfielder in the EPL this campaign with seven goals and three assists in 19 games praised Lamptey for his exceptional pace.
“Tariq Lamptey, I’ve said this loads of times, but I grew up with him at Chelsea and he was always the quickest player I’ve played with or played against and the stats show it as well now, so definitely him,” Gallagher told HITC.
Lamptey has emerged as a summer transfer target for a host of teams including Manchester Ubited, Arsenal and Tottenham.
