Former Asante Kotoko player George Kennedy has appealed to fans of the club to rally behind head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum during this challenging period.
The Porcupine Warriors find themselves in a difficult spell of form, suffering defeats in their last four Ghana Premier League matches, causing a slide from third to ninth place in the standings.
Kennedy believes in Ogum’s capability to navigate through the current adversity and guide the club back to success, emphasizing his track record and experience.
What action taken by the Coach alone warrants all of these accusations? Other areas also need to be examined, particularly the supporters who, despite their love for Kotoko, ought to help the team out when things get tough,” he told Akoma FM
Highlighting Ogum’s past successes, Kennedy expresses confidence in the coach’s ability to lead Kotoko to another league title. He urges fans to offer encouragement and solidarity to the team during this challenging phase.
“I believe Kotoko can return to their winning ways. The phrase ‘kum apem an apem beba’ signifies the spiritual connection, indicating that the spirit of Kotoko remains resilient,” Kennedy concluded, emphasizing the club’s enduring strength and the importance of unity during testing times.
“I think Kotoko can resume their winning ways. The name “kum apem an apem beba” refers to the spiritual connection that the spirit of Kotoko remains.”
