German-born Ghanaian forward Aaron Opoku has completed a move to Turkish Super Lig outfit Kayserispor FK during the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old signed a two-year contract with an option for a further 12 months, joining the Red and Gold from German side FC Kaiserslautern. His arrival is expected to strengthen Kayserispor’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
Kayserispor confirmed the signing, stating:
“Aaron Opoku and our club have signed a 2+1 year contract. We wish our player continued success under our glorious jersey.”
Opoku has already joined his new teammates in training as the club prepares for their season opener against Istanbul Basaksehir on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
The Hamburg-born forward spent the majority of his career in Germany, featuring for Hamburger SV and enjoying loan spells at Hansa Rostock, Jahn Regensburg, and VFL Osnabrück.
Although Opoku has represented Germany at youth level, he remains eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.
