VfB Stuttgart has bolstered its squad for the upcoming season by signing the German-born Ghanaian youngster Justin Diehl.
The talented left winger, who previously played for relegated FC Köln, joins the Swabians on a free transfer and has committed to a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
Diehl made seven appearances in the Bundesliga this season with FC Köln. VfB Stuttgart’s sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, praising Diehl as one of the most promising players in his position in Germany.
Wohlgemuth emphasized Diehl’s valuable Bundesliga experience and the club’s dedication to nurturing his talent.
After a challenging stint in Cologne, which included a suspension, Diehl is eager to begin a new chapter with VfB Stuttgart. He shared his enthusiasm for the move, stating that conversations with the club’s management convinced him that VfB Stuttgart was the ideal choice. Diehl looks forward to joining his new teammates for preseason training.
