GFA announce 2022/23 betPawa Premier League team of the season; Medeama dominate, Hearts, Kotoko players miss out

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the top-performing players in each position for the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season.

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Abubakari Damba, who presented the list, chose a 4-3-3 formation for his team selection. Augustine Evans Adotey, the coach who guided Medeama to their inaugural Premier League title, was named Coach of the Season.

Guarding the goalpost in the Team of the Season is Medeama’s Felix Kyei, who boasted the highest number of clean sheets, tallying an impressive 15.

The defensive lineup comprises Emmanuel Kottei from Nsoatreman, Aduana’s Stephen Anokye Badu, and Medeama’s Vincent Atinga and Fatawu Hamidu.

For the midfield, Seidu Dauda of Samartex, Real Tamale United’s Manaf Umar, and Michel Otou from Legon Cities secured their spots in the Team of the Season.

In the attacking trio, Medeama’s Jonathan Sowah, Abednego Tetteh from Bibiani GoldStars, and Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United were recognized for their outstanding performances.

These players have been recognized for their remarkable contributions throughout the season and have earned their places in the prestigious Team of the Season, showcasing the talent and skill displayed in the betPawa Premier League.
