President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has reaffirmed the association’s support for FC Samartex and Nsoatreman FC as they advance in their respective African competitions.
Both clubs have progressed to the second round, with FC Samartex set to face Moroccan powerhouse Raja Casablanca in the CAF Champions League, while Nsoatreman FC will take on CS Constantine of Algeria in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Okraku emphasized the GFA’s ambition to see Ghana’s representatives reach the finals of their respective competitions, following last season’s success where Medeama SC and Dreams FC reached the group stage, with Dreams advancing to the semi-finals of the Confederation Cup.
“Our vision has always been to see our teams go all the way to the grand finale. This year, we are fully committed to ensuring that both Samartex and Nsoatreman have all the backing they need to succeed,” Okraku told Micky Jnr at the CAF Coaches Symposium in Ivory Coast.
Both Samartex and Nsoatreman FC are set to represent Ghana in crucial African encounters this weekend, carrying the hopes of the nation as they strive to make a mark on the continental stage.
