Ghana Football Association (GFA) have reportedly intensified efforts to secure the international future of Barcelona winger Jesse Bisiwu, with the youngster being monitored for a possible Black Stars call-up.
The GFA is said to have made contact with Bisiwu’s representatives on several occasions as they explore the possibility of convincing the talented attacker to represent Ghana at senior level.
The 18-year-old winger, who was born in Belgium to Ghanaian parents, has already featured for Belgium at youth level but remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana under FIFA regulations.
Bisiwu, who is part of Barcelona’s youth setup, is regarded as one of the promising young talents in European football, attracting attention due to his pace, technical ability and attacking qualities.
However, Ghana are not the only nation monitoring his situation, with the Belgian Football Association also keeping a close eye on the teenager’s international future.
The GFA is expected to continue discussions as Ghana looks to secure the services of more talented dual-national players for the future of the Black Stars.
