Kudjoe Fianoo, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AshantiGold, has expressed his willingness to join Asante Kotoko as CEO if he is approached with an official offer.
Fianoo stated that he would seriously consider the opportunity and dedicate his efforts to serving the club if he possesses the necessary energy and receives an official invitation from Manhyia, the traditional council responsible for overseeing Asante Kotoko’s affairs.
This development arises as Asante Kotoko has recently disbanded their board and management, with the intention of appointing a new team to lead the club.
During an interview with Akoma FM, Fianoo stressed the importance of mutual respect between Asante Kotoko’s management and its devoted fanbase.
“If I have the strength and an approach is made by Manhyia for me to become the CEO of Asante Kotoko, why not, I will consider it and work for Kotoko,” he said.
Fianoo further expressed his belief that if the management of Asante Kotoko shows utmost respect to the fans, while the fans in turn provide unwavering support to the management, and the club recruits high-quality players, then he is confident that the team will experience a resurgence.
“If the management of Kotoko gives maximum respect to the fans and the fans also give absolute support to management and finally the club recruits quality players, I’m confident that the team (Kotoko) will rise again.”
