Ghanaian international Andre Ayew has been named as the Player-Of-The-Week in the AFC Champions League for round three following an excellent display.
The Ghana captain scored his first goal in the group stages of the ongoing Asia Champions League in Al Sadd big win over Al-Wehdat on Saturday evening.
The 32-year-old Ghana International also provided an assist in his team’s 5-2 victory over Jordan side Al-Wehdat at home to secure their first win of the competition after three matches.
He was also named in the Team-Of-The-Week in AFC Champions League after a goal and assist.
Ayew set up Spaniard Santi Cazorla early in the second half to grab the or equalizer to make it 2-2 after going down 2-1 just before the break.
Two minutes after the hour mark, Ayew scored the third goal for his team to put them 3-2 up and turn the fortunes of Al Sadd.
The hosts scored additional two goals to thump their opponents 5-2 to pick their first win of the competition after a draw and a defeat in first two matches.
The Ghanaian international ended the Qatari Stars league as the second top scorer and the most prolific amongst his teammates with 15 league goals.
