Ghana captain Andre Ayew scored his 10th league goal of the season on his return to club football as Al Sadd thump Al Wakra in the Qatari Super League on Monday.
The 33-year-old came from the bench to score his 10th goal in Al Sadd’s 6-0 win on the road with his first touch after his introduction.
Ayew headed home his side’s fifth goal of the match with a thunderbolt header following a free-kick from the left side of attack.
His team beat their opponents by a whopping 6-0 score line to maintain their position at the top of the league table with 40 points from 14 matches this campaign.
Ayew, who suffered elimination with Black Stars in the group stage of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament has 10 goals and two assists this season for Al Sadd In Qatar.
