Ghana’s Black Stars captain Andre Ayew scored for Al Sadd SC in the Qatari Stars League on Wednesday evening.
He helped his team to secure a vital 2-1 away win over Al-Rayyan in the Qatar Clasico with a sweet strike for the Black and Whites outfit.
The 33-year-old former Olympic Marseille player scored the opening goal of the match to put the away team in the lead after seven minutes into the game.
Akram Afif got the all important second goal of the match to make it 2-0 to the visitors with a beautiful strike inside the second half after 51 minutes.
Former Stoke City FC midfielder, Steven Nzonzi grabbed a consolation goal for the home team five minutes after going down to two goals as the game ended 2-1 to Ayew’s team.
