Black Stars head coach, Chris Hughton, reassured that his team is putting in significant effort to perform well at the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The commitment was emphasized during a visit by Ghana’s Ambassador to Cote D’ Ivoire, Frederick Daniel Laryea, to the Black Stars’ hotel on Thursday, January 11.
Expressing the team’s dedication, Coach Chris Hughton conveyed the significance of the tournament, stating, “Being here means a lot to us. This is always a big tournament. Obviously, you know this country very well. We hope to do well.” The coach acknowledged the weight of expectations and the importance of excelling at AFCON.
Ghana’s Ambassador to Cote D’ Ivoire, Frederick Daniel Laryea, echoed strong support from the Embassy for the Black Stars. He emphasized that the diplomatic mission is fully committed to backing the team in all their endeavors to ensure a successful performance.
The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament is set to commence in Ivory Coast on Saturday, January 13.
