Ghana coach Otto Addo is filled with confidence in his team, the Black Stars, believing that when they gel well, they can defeat any country in Africa.
Emphasizing the importance of preparation and understanding opponents’ strengths, Addo expresses his faith in the team’s quality and potential, particularly with the inclusion of young talent. He is dedicated to finding solutions to opponents’ playing styles to elevate Ghana into a formidable force in African football once again.
Addo highlights the level of adaptation among all teams in Africa and stresses the necessity of better preparation and awareness of opponents’ strengths. He believes that by understanding and countering opponents’ style of play, coupled with the quality of the team and the contribution of young players, Ghana can become challenging to defeat.
“All the teams have adapted to a high level and for that, we need to be better prepared and aware of their strength and if we can find solutions to their style of play then I know that with the quality that we have coupled with the young players, we will be hard to beat. Once that is done, in Africa we can beat anyone,” he added.
His remarks come ahead of his first match in his second stint as coach, facing Nigeria. A victory in this fixture would not only boost morale but also demonstrate Ghana’s readiness to compete at a high level.
Following the Nigeria match, Ghana’s next challenge awaits against Uganda on March 26 in another international friendly, also set to take place in Marrakech.
