Coach Otto Addo has left Nathaniel Adjei out of the Ghana squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic in June. Adjei, who was part of the team during the last international window, will not feature in these crucial matches.
Speaking at the GFA headquarters, Coach Addo revealed the squad for the upcoming games. The Black Stars will start their training camp on Thursday at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.
Ghana aims to get back to winning ways after a mixed start in the World Cup qualifiers. The team is currently in 4th place in Group I, with one win and one loss from their first two matches. They began with a 1-0 victory over Madagascar in Kumasi but then suffered a 1-0 defeat to Comoros in Moroni.
The match against Mali is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Stade 26 Mars in Bamako, with a 19:00 kick-off. Following that, Ghana will host the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.
These games are crucial for the Black Stars’ chances of advancing in the World Cup qualifiers.
