Ghana’s Black Stars coach Otto Addo is sweating over the fitness of star midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar.
The midfielder has not played in the last three games for SC Freiburg in the German Bundesliga and the last UEFA Europa League game.
Kyereh is still sidelined and missed the game against RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening when his team suffered a huge 3-1 loss in Bundesliga.
He has been very influential in his team’s season so far in the UEFA Europa League and the Bundesliga despite not starting the season on a good note.
He’s expected to be part of the Ghana squad for upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this month but has been struggling with injuries.
Otto Addo is hoping to get the green light from his team, SC Freiburg to take the young midfielder general to the world cup as part of the Ghana team.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian international has scored two goals in nine games this season for the club in the German top-flight.
